Safe in Shower! March 6, 2010 Marilyn J. Richard (Charlotte NC) My mother's shower stall is small. This fits right in the corner. She can sit, while I use the shower wand for her shower. It keeps her safe and makes showering for her so much easier. We both are very pleased.
Great product! February 27, 2010 Sandy (Las Vegas NV) I have been using this for about a month. I have healing broken feet & can't stand up in the shower, this makes showering so easy. I use it on the shortest height & it feels stable.
It allowed me to shower! February 2, 2010 Jobba (San Francisco) After tibial plateau surgery I was unable to put any weight on my right leg for 3+ months, and wouldn't have been able to shower without this trusty little stool.
It takes 3 minutes to put it together, and is adjustable for height.
As long as it was placed correctly in the tub, it gripped the bottom and (very importantly) stayed in place as I maneuvered in and out of the tub.
A note from my trial and error - if you put it in the tub so that one leg is forward and one back (as opposed to square in the tub), it will rock back and forth - a little scary at first. I recommend you play with the placement before trusting all your weight to it.
Now that I'm back walking and standing in the shower, my wife actually still uses the stool as a make-up stool, due to it's small size (easily tucked away) and adjustability.
My shower stool November 14, 2009 Nonna (Central Florida) This chair is just wonderful for a bathtub as well as a shower. It is sturdy and adjustable as to height.
Fine product.
Shower Stool November 6, 2009 S. S. Smith (Missouri) As others have attested, it goes together easily. My father has been using it for several months now. He was uncomfortable sitting on it at first and continues to be leery now. His balance is not good and if he doesn't sit centered, he will fall off the chair. It also will scoot if one is not careful. We do have slip resistance in the shower so I was surprised to see it can move so easily. It is a good chair for the small shower space but I don't think I would buy it for someone who needs a lot of assistance sitting and standing.
